A Big Ten Welcome

, , , , , , , , Nebraska will face Joe Paterno and Penn State annually as part of a protected rivalry game in the Big Ten.

Welcome, Nebraska.

Establishing a physical running game has been a point of offensive emphasis for coach Bo Pelini. That emphasis will have figurative as well as literal meaning when the Cornhuskers join the Big Ten for the 2011 football season. They’ll certainly have to hit the ground running.

In addition to announcing divisional alignments for football, three days before Nebraska’s opener against Western Kentucky, the Big Ten released conference schedules for 2011 and 2012.
